We are currently seeking a Circuit Installation Specialist to join our team in Yonkers, New York (US-NY), United States (US).
**This role requires working onsite daily at our client's facility and requires employee to be fully vaccinated for COVID and flu on or before start date, to the extent required by applicable law.
We support this client 24/7, so this role could include evenings or weekends.
- Installation & Commissioning:
- Oversee and coordinate the installation of new electrical circuits, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring compliance with design specifications and relevant codes (e.g., NFPA, OSHA).
- Review circuit certificationtesting and verification during commissioning to ensure safety, reliability, and adherence to performance standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during installation and commissioning, providing technical support and guidance to vendor.
- Billing Management:
- Manage and track costs associated with electrical circuit installation, commissioning, maintenance, and decommissioning.
- Review invoices from vendors and contractors for electrical services.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize costs related to circuits, seeking out potential areas for savings without compromising safety or performance. (Rightsizing)
- Vendor Reporting & Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors providing electrical equipment and services.
- Monitor vendor performance, track circuit activity and service levels as outlined in contracts.
- Generate regular reports summarizing vendor activity, including installation progress, maintenance records, and decommissioning status.
- Ensure vendors are complying with safety regulations and contractual obligations.
- Decommissioning Inactive Circuits:
- Develop and implement a process for identifying and decommissioning inactive or obsolete electrical circuits and equipment.
- Seek opportunities to repurpose or recycle decommissioned equipment where possible.
- Operational Efficiency & Cost Savings:
- Analyze circuit usage patterns to optimize resource allocation and prevent unnecessary expenses.
- Develop and maintain documentation to support efficient operations and cost tracking.
- 3-5+ years of hands-on IT/network & circuit support or equivalent infrastructure experience.
- Able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Reliable transportation and a clean, insurable driving record
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience in electrical installation or oversight, commissioning, and maintenance within a hospital or similar critical environment.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, codes (e.g., NFPA), testing procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and vendor billing processes.
- Experience working with external vendors and contractors, including performance monitoring and contract compliance.
- Strong commitment to electrical safety and a thorough understanding of relevant regulations.
- Ability to analyze data to identify trends, optimize performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- A proactive and analytical approach to identifying and resolving complex issues
- Strong understanding of networking (OSI Layers 2 & 3), cabling, and data center operations.

Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, UPS systems, and electrical/cooling infrastructure.

Experience with Visio, testing tools, and interpreting floor plans.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role is $70,000-$88,000. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
