We are currently seeking a IT Facilities Specialist to join our team in Yonkers, New York (US-NY), United States (US).

 

*This position will require moving equipment between locations, so reliable transportation is required.

 

**This role requires working onsite daily at our client's facility and requires employee to be fully COVID vaccinated on or before start date, to the extent required by applicable law.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide back up for Facilities Advisor position.                       
  • Providing direction, guidance, motivation, and development for the IMG Team
  • Coordinate coverage and workload for IMG team
  • Achieve established production goals consistent with NTT Data’s Quality, and Safety standards.
  • Responsible for the coordination and performance of all maintenance and operations within assigned area of responsibility.
  • Maintain Floor plans for all IT Closets at Customer Locations
  • Perform UPS health checks prior to each campus quarterly generator test.
  • Coordinate and carry out fiber cable runs, HVAC repairs, and OEM equipment repairs.
  • Maintain the IT Closet database.
  • Check Equipment for alert lights. If an alert light is found, create a ticket, and dispatch the appropriate OEM vendor.
  • Validate cleanliness of each IT Closet. If cleaning is needed, contact the building manager.
  • Check the environmental conditions of each IT Closet including closet temperature and presence of water. If a problem is found contact the building manager.
  • Check IT Closets for unauthorized utilization. Report unauthorized use of a closet to Customer.
  • Perform Fiber path provisioning.
  • Other Duties as assigned
  • Must be willing to travel to local sites as required
  • Understands electrical circuitry diversity and concurrent maintainability
     

Requirements

  • Prior team lead in a data center setting
  • Strong understanding of Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS)
  • AutoCAD, RCDD, or experience with cable, Fiber installation, and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Request, change, vendor management, preventative maintenance scheduling experience
  • The ability to wear personal protective equipment as needed, but not limited to, eye/face protection, flame retardant clothing, foot protection, gloves, hearing protection and head protection, etc.
  • The willingness and ability to work rotating shifts that includes nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary and be subject to callouts, including response to emergency situations.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain records and reports applicable to the industry 
  • Work standing all day.
  • Be on call as needed.
  • Lift 50 lbs. or more.
  • Climb up and down stairs and ladders.
  • Use full range of manual dexterity (i.e., sitting, squatting, bending, kneeling, walking, and lifting).
  • Reliable transportation - Insurable Driving Record
  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints and use all types of testing equipment, analog/digital multi-meters, pressure and temperature indicating and recording devices, air flow measuring devices, and leak detection devices.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of four years of related experience and/or trade school training
  • Prior knowledge of Mission Critical or Data Center environments
  • AutoCad Certification preferred
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of facilities or data center Experience
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and climb up and down stairs and ladders

 

 

 

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $75,000  –  $94,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
