We are currently seeking a Linux L3 with IBM Spectrum Symphony to join our team in chennai, Tamil Nādu (IN-TN), India (IN).

Linux L3 with IBM Spectrum Symphony

The Grid/HPC (High Performance Computing) engineer will work as a key member of the Symphony Grid Engineering team.

 

Required skills:

  • Great understanding of modern Linux operating system (RHEL distribution preferred),
    OS performance tuning and troubleshooting, good grasp of Linux security, networking, auditing, and compliance concepts
  • Experience with Linux systems administration in standalone, cloud or virtualized environment.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and apply new concepts, tools, and technologies in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
  • Ability to engineer and troubleshoot distributed client-server network applications.
  • Great shell scripting skills
  • Good knowledge of Linux containers (Docker/Podman/K8s/EKS/OCP etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible automation
  • Fundamental experience with relational databases
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks asynchronously without constant supervision.
  • Strong team-player and collaborator

Nice to have:

  • Experience with IBM Spectrum Symphony Grid
  • Experience with IBM Spectrum Symphony Grid Multicluster
  • Experience with IBM Spectrum Scale (GPFS) filesystem.
  • Working knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud architectures and the capabilities and
  • challenges involved with their implementation in cloud environments.
  • Intermediate Python scripting (OS automation etc.)

 

This person will work closely with the vendor and internal clients to engineer and support technical solutions

for Grid platform, leveraging modern and innovative technologies to deliver the optimal stability and performance.

 The candidate should be able to employ a methodical approach towards evaluating new and emerging technologies

that will have a direct and measurable impact to one or more business units within Citi. In addition to excellent communication

skills, this candidate should have the ability to work effectively on individual tasks and work well within a team dynamic.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Graduate's degree in computer engineering, computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience.
