SAP FICO Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to finance and controlling processes.
• Configure and support SAP FI processes, including:
• General Ledger (GL)
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Asset Accounting (AA)
• Bank Accounting
• Taxation
• Closing activities
• Configure and support SAP CO processes, including:
• Cost Center Accounting
• Profit Center Accounting
• Internal Orders
• Product Costing
• Profitability Analysis (COPA)
• Cost Object Controlling
• Define and support enterprise structure, chart of accounts, fiscal year variant, posting period variant, document types, and account determination.
• Work on integration with MM, SD, PP, PS, HCM, and other SAP modules.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities and resolve finance-related issues.
• Prepare functional specifications for reports, interfaces, forms, enhancements, validations, substitutions, and workflows.
• Support master data and data migration activities for GL accounts, customers, vendors, assets, cost centers, profit centers, and internal orders.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, UAT support, defect fixing coordination, and go-live support.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot issues in finance and controlling areas.
• Prepare business process documents, configuration documents, test scripts, and end-user training materials.
• Collaborate with business users, ABAP developers, basis teams, auditors, and cross-functional consultants.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP FICO configuration and support.
• Good understanding of core FI and CO business processes.
• Experience in AP, AR, GL, AA, Bank Accounting, Taxation, CCA, PCA, IO, Product Costing, and COPA.
• Strong knowledge of integration with MM, SD, PP, and other SAP modules.
• Experience in testing, support, issue resolution, and business process mapping.
• Good communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ready to work in any shift

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of SAP FICO consulting and support experience
• At least one end-to-end implementation, rollout, upgrade, or support project.
• SAP FICO certification is a plus.
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance is preferred.
• Knowledge of localization, GST/VAT, and statutory reporting requirements is an advantage.
