Service Arch Consultant

Purpose of the Job:

To support wholesale tech on IT service chain mapping from a business, process, and tech architecture perspective 

What you will do:

• Analyse and update IT Service Chain maps per architectural changes and business process changes.
• Applying architectural risk management techniques and decision-making principles to ensure that CoE delivery quality is maintained without compromising architectural integrity and data quality.
• Work with Analysts and Engineers to deliver updated service chain maps, Tech Resilience and Control assessments. Work with business to understand requirements and provide technical subject matter expertise in this area.
• Enable effective regulatory, audit & security controls.
• Work with any external vendors to ensure full understanding of their current and future states impacting IT SCMs and Tech Resilience landscape.

What you will need to succeed in the role:

• At least 6-10 years of relevant IT experience, including exposure to business planning, systems analysis and application development (atleast 4 of those years to be devoted specifically to architecture). Appropriate certification is a plus.
• Actively research and investigate new Resilience related technologies and stay abreast of latest in the regulatory and tech architecture field.
• Experience with Resilience Architecture updates, triggers, solutions and industry best practices
• In-depth knowledge of key IT domains particularly computing platforms (Windows, UNIX and Linux) and networking technologies.
• Proficient in security concepts related to DNS, routing, authentication, VPN, proxy services and DDOS mitigation technologies.
• Service architecture - Experience of API and service-based architectures using SOAP, REST APIs, micro-services and utilizing JSON for web or mobile applications. CI/CD - tools such as Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, Git, GitHub, Stash, SonarQube, Performance center.
• Methods and delivery - DevOps processes and experience. Strong understanding of lean and agile methods of software delivery including Scrum, Kanban, Lean UX, XP. Comfortable working with ambiguity and conducting research as well as working with third party vendor(s).
