We are currently seeking a Backend Lead_279122 to join our team in Pune, Mahārāshtra (IN-MH), India (IN).

Role Summary  
 
The purpose of the role is to gather systems development requirements from business users to analyse and validate requirements to produce high-level, low-level designs and specifications in line with standards and methodologies in use.  
 
He/she is a team leader and a team player who integrates well into an agile environment to collaboratively work with the feature team to deliver the business goal.  
 
He/She is a mentor who continuously improves the productivity and quality of the deliverables and strategizes and innovates along with the Application Responsible for continuous improvement

•    Well versed with leading development team/s independently and deliver consistently with the desired productivity and quality 
•    Collaborates actively with the Application responsible and other leads with focus on continuous improvement 
•    Impactful communicator who can derive the required outcome during grooming, refinement, and review of product requirements.  
•    Translate requirements into design and solution that fits into the enterprise model and aligns with the enterprise standards 
•    Report transparently with clear description of status, impediments, risks, issues, and actions

Area of Responsibility  
 
•    Analyse the requirement and develop technical specifications 
•    Perform impact analysis on impacted systems and publish feedback 
•    Provide detailed estimates for requirements 
•    Induct best coding and security practices while developing applications 
•    Transform the application development by introducing latest technologies and methodologies. 
•    Lead Technical discussions with customers to find the best possible solutions. 
•    Focus on reducing technical debts that will turn to a blocker in future sprints 
•    Hands on experience in leading development team, performing code reviews and ensure the delivery of the project 
•    Ensure the team’s productivity is measured and continuous improvement areas are identified, and action plans defined 
•    Provide detailed updates on status, impediments, risks and issues when required 
•    Participate in the full life cycle of a project, from its conception to its realization 
•    Provide adequate software solutions following best software development practices 
•    Identify risks and provide relevant solutions to complex problems and on-time delivery 
•    Work to ensure end users receive high quality, high performance, and useful solutions 
•    Familiar with agile methodologies and have prior experience working with agile teams using Scrum/Kanban 
•    Proficiency in Software Development best practices - Secure coding standards, Unit testing frameworks, Code coverage, Quality gates. 
Knowledge / Experience  
 
•    Minimum 9 years of experience in IT with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in leading end to end Web application development which includes backend development using Java and PostgreSQL (or MySQL) 
•    Expert in developing Java based API/Microservices (Java version preferably 8 or above, good to know Java 17) 
•    Good knowledge on AWS ECS 
•    Expert in developing applications using Microservice architecture 
•    WebAPI/Rest API Experience 
•    Authentication and Authorization principles using Oauth2 or M2M 
•    Good to have exposure to AWS Messaging services. 
•    Experience with API Documentation – OpenAPI 
•    Experience with AWS RDS (PostgreSQL) Database design and deployment 
•    Expert on Relational database design and data modelling 
•    Experience on TDD approach using Junit. 
•    Experience working with Agile Ecosystem – Principles, timeboxing, roles and ceremonies
