Role Overview
The Compensation Specialist will support the Global Compensation, Recognition and Tools team by providing compensation data analysis, market intelligence, survey administration, and project coordination across NTT's global organization.
This role will work closely with members of the Global Reward Centre of Expertise and support compensation initiatives across Consulting, Specialty Businesses, and Business Services. The successful candidate will be highly analytical, possess advanced Excel skills, and be able to interpret compensation data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and market insights rather than simply reporting results.
This position is ideal for an individual with strong data management and compensation analytics experience who can operate with broad direction while demonstrating sound judgment and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market pricing and benchmarking activities for positions across multiple countries and business functions using compensation surveys and market data sources.
- Support annual and ad hoc compensation surveys, including survey submissions, data validation, and reporting.
- Analyze compensation data and market trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Develop reports, dashboards, pivot tables, and ad hoc analyses utilizing advanced Excel and other reporting tools.
- Review compensation data for accuracy and identify anomalies, trends, or inconsistencies requiring further investigation.
- Support global and regional compensation initiatives by gathering, organizing, and analyzing complex employment market data.
- Apply an understanding of local market dynamics and compensation practices when interpreting survey results and benchmarking outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues across geographies to ensure data quality, consistency, and timely project delivery.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Compensation, Rewards, HR Analytics, Workforce Analytics, or a related analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
- Pivot Tables
- VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- Advanced formulas
- Data manipulation and analysis
- Reporting and dashboard creation
- Experience working with compensation surveys and market benchmarking data preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify data anomalies and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Ability to work independently with broad direction while managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in a global or multinational environment is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the Technology, IT Services, or Professional Services industry.
- Exposure to global compensation programs and international market benchmarking.
- Knowledge of compensation survey platforms such as WTW, Mercer, Aon Radford, or equivalent market data providers.
