We are currently seeking a Business Consulting - Release Manager to join our team in Pune, Mahārāshtra (IN-MH), India (IN).

 Project Manager / Release Manager

 

Role/Team Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Release Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of projects, from initiation through closure. This role is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects, ensuring objectives are met within scope, budget, and timeline. The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams, manage risks, and drive continuous process improvement to achieve business goals. The role also release management to oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of software releases or change initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
  • Develop detailed project plans and secure stakeholder alignment.
  • Milestone definition and provide regular reporting on progress to management
  • Track progress, manage risks, resolve issues, and communicate updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Allocate and manage resources, monitor financial performance, and handle vendor engagements as needed.
  • Identify and assess risks, develop mitigation plans, and resolve issues impacting project success.
  • Engage with business users, technical teams, and leadership; organize meetings and status updates; ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer.
  • Planning and coordinating releases, using tools like JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow ensuring that releases are delivered smoothly
  • Plan and lead Go-Live activities

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience: 5+ years in end-to-end project management, preferably in Banking or IT project management, digital transformation, or software development.
  • Certifications: ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum certification (preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Clarity, or Confluence.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Methodologies: Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project management approaches.
  • Preferred Experience: Hands-on experience with financial tracking and reporting, and proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
