We are currently seeking a Business Consulting - Technical Analyst to join our team in Pune, Mahārāshtra (IN-MH), India (IN).

Job Title: SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) – BDD, API & Manual Testing

Location:

Pune, India

Experience Required:

3–5 Years

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented SDET with strong experience in Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), API automation, and Manual Testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test frameworks while also performing comprehensive manual testing to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using BDD practices.
• Write and maintain test scenarios using Cucumber/Gherkin.
• Develop API automation scripts using tools such as Rest Assured / Postman / Karate / SuperTest.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Execute manual test cases and document defects using defect tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and create effective test strategies.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and Agile ceremonies.
• Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps).
• Ensure test coverage for RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend systems.
• Review logs and troubleshoot failures to identify root causes.
• Maintain test documentation, test cases, and reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• Strong experience in BDD framework implementation (Cucumber with Java/JS).
• Hands-on experience in API automation testing.
• Experience with tools like:
• Rest Assured / Karate / Postman
• Selenium (optional but preferred)
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, JSON, XML.
• Experience with manual testing methodologies.
• Understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environment.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Git or other version control tools.
• Basic SQL knowledge for database validation.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in performance testing tools (JMeter – optional).
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes (nice to have).
• Experience in microservices architecture testing.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in team environments.
• Strong attention to detail.
