We are currently seeking a Data Engineer to join our team in Pune, Mahārāshtra (IN-MH), India (IN).
Job Title Developer/ Data Engineer
Location Pune
Our Anti Financial Crime Technology team are working with cutting-edge technology to transform the bank’s Anti Financial Crime processes. You will work on exciting and innovative big data related (Hadoop, Elastic Search) projects that require very large data sets from a significant number of internal and external sources to be processed via a vendor sourced solution on a daily, weekly and monthly basis with all of the inherent computational complexity and efficiency challenges that you might expect from this sort of activity.

Your skills and experience
Full training will be provided to successful candidates. We value attitude and aptitude and are seeking bright, highly motivated individuals to join a great team of technology professionals in an exciting and varied data driven Anti Financial Crime project. We expect you to have demonstrable experience and expertise in at least 1 programming language, whether that is Python, JAVA, SCALA or something else.
Experience of the following is desirable, but not essential:
- Scala
- Linux
- Git
- Elastic search
- Hadoop
- Spark
- Bin/ Bash
- Ansible
- Experience of Agile and Test Driven Development
- Exposure across the Big Data landscape with practical experience of products and toolsets
- Understanding of SOA & high-level IT architecture
- Knowledge of focal entity resolution
Your key responsibilities
- Analysing data sets and designing and coding stable and scalable data ingestion workflows and integrating into existing workflows
- Working with team members and stakeholders to clarify requirements and provide the appropriate solution
- Configuring updates to the UI in line with requirements
- Coding in line with agreed standards
- Unit Testing
- Working closely with the Programme Manager and the Programme leads to deliver change in line with Technology strategy
