We are currently seeking a Project Manager (Banking) to join our team in Pune, Mahārāshtra (IN-MH), India (IN).

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Banking to lead end-to-end delivery of technology and business transformation initiatives within the Banking and Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in project planning, stakeholder management, risk and issue management, governance, and cross-functional team coordination.

The role requires strong banking domain knowledge and the ability to work closely with business, technology, operations, compliance, and vendor teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

Day to Day Job Duties

• Manage end-to-end delivery of banking technology and transformation projects.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource plans.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Business Analysts, technology teams, and vendors to define project scope and objectives.
• Track project progress, deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items.
• Facilitate project governance meetings and provide regular status updates to senior stakeholders.
• Manage project risks and issues, define mitigation plans, and drive timely resolution.
• Coordinate requirements, development, testing, UAT, release, migration, and implementation activities.
• Manage cross-functional and geographically distributed teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Coordinate with Risk, Compliance, Information Security, and Operations teams to address banking and regulatory requirements.
• Manage third-party vendors and implementation partners where applicable.
• Support change management, production readiness, cutover planning, and post-implementation activities.
• Ensure adherence to project governance, SDLC, Agile/Waterfall methodologies, and organizational standards.
• Monitor project financials, resource utilization, and delivery KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure lessons learned are incorporated into future delivery.

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Project Management and technology delivery.
• 5+ years of experience managing projects within Banking, Financial Services, or Capital Markets.
• 5+ years of experience in project planning, stakeholder management, risk/issue management, governance, and executive reporting.
• 3+ years of experience managing projects using Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Core Banking, Payments, Transaction Banking, Cash Management, Lending, Risk, or Regulatory initiatives.
• Experience managing large application modernization, migration, or digital transformation programs.
• Understanding of banking products, processes, and regulatory environments.
• Experience coordinating UAT, production releases, migration, and cutover activities.
• Experience managing third-party vendors and globally distributed teams.
• Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, or similar project management tools.
• Understanding of SDLC, DevOps, and software delivery processes.
• PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, SAFe, or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
• Strong client management, leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
