Job Title: Remote Desktop Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Remote Desktop Engineer to design, implement, and support virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and remote access solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with platforms such as Citrix, VMware Horizon, or Azure Virtual Desktop, and a strong understanding of end-user computing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain Remote Desktop / VDI environments.
• Manage and support platforms such as Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS), Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, VMware Horizon, or Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security of virtual desktop environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve user issues related to remote access, connectivity, and performance.
• Configure and manage user profiles, policies, and access controls.
• Support patching, upgrades, and system maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Optimize VDI performance, scalability, and user experience.
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in Remote Desktop / VDI engineering or support.
• Hands-on experience with RDS, Citrix, VMware Horizon, or Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VPN, firewalls, load balancing).
• Experience with user profile management (FSLogix, roaming profiles, etc.).
• Ability to troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and log analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as Microsoft, Citrix (CCA/CCP), VMware (VCP).
• Experience with cloud-based VDI solutions (Azure/AWS).
• Knowledge of security best practices in remote access environments.
• Scripting skills (PowerShell) for automation.
